ACG Participates in United Nations Consultations on AI Governance, Representing a Voice from Egypt and Africa

ACG – Abdin’s Consultancy Group, represented by its Founder and CEO, Marwan Abdin, participated in the United Nations Stakeholder Consultations held as part of the preparatory process for the Global Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Governance, scheduled to take place in Geneva on July 6–7, 2026, alongside the AI for Good Summit.
The Global Dialogue is being convened pursuant to United Nations General Assembly Resolution 79/325, with the objective of fostering international cooperation, sharing best practices, and advancing an inclusive global discussion on the future of AI governance and its responsible and sustainable implementation.
During the consultations, ACG delivered an official intervention emphasizing the importance of moving beyond theoretical discussions on AI governance principles toward practical and implementable governance models, particularly in developing countries and emerging markets. The intervention highlighted that the primary challenge is no longer the absence of frameworks and policies, but rather the ability to translate them into effective institutional practices that create measurable impact.
ACG also stressed the importance of strengthening collaboration among governments, the private sector, academia, research institutions, and international organizations to build an integrated AI ecosystem that connects innovation with practical implementation while supporting sustainable development goals.
Representing the organization, Marwan Abdin brought a practical perspective reflecting the needs and realities of African and emerging markets in the areas of capacity building, digital governance, and responsible institutional transformation. His contribution drew upon ACG’s extensive experience in delivering transformation, innovation, and AI-related projects in collaboration with governments and international development partners.
As part of its participation, ACG highlighted several practical initiatives led by the organization, including Leadership X – AI for Senior Executives, a program designed to equip executive leaders with a governance-driven understanding of artificial intelligence, risk management, and responsible AI adoption. The organization also showcased the work of its Future of Work Academy, which focuses on preparing leaders and institutions for the profound transformations AI is bringing to workplaces, skills development, and decision-making processes.
Furthermore, ACG emphasized the importance of establishing post-dialogue follow-up mechanisms, including expert surveys and AI-enabled analysis of stakeholder contributions, to help transform diverse inputs into coherent recommendations that can support international policymakers and contribute to a more inclusive and actionable global governance framework.
Commenting on the participation, Marwan Abdin, Founder and CEO of ACG, said:
“This participation represents an important opportunity to bring the perspectives of Egypt and Africa into the global conversation on AI governance. The future of effective governance depends not only on developing policies and regulatory frameworks, but also on our ability to transform them into practical applications that drive development and generate tangible value for institutions and communities. We firmly believe that emerging markets possess unique experiences and insights that must be integrated into the global dialogue shaping the future of artificial intelligence.”
This participation reflects ACG’s ongoing commitment to advancing responsible AI adoption and strengthening institutional readiness for digital transformation, contributing to the development of more innovative, sustainable, and competitive ecosystems across Egypt and the wider region.
