On the Sidelines of Khatwa ’26 Career Fair

ALEXBANK, part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group within the International Banks Division, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Helm to support the economic empowerment of People with Disabilities (PwDs) and enhance their integration into the labor market. The partnership reflects ALEXBANK’s continued commitment to social sustainability, diversity, and economic inclusion, in line with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s vision of fostering inclusive growth and creating long-term social impact.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Paolo Vivona, CEO & Managing Director of ALEXBANK, and Ms. Amena Elsaie, CEO and Co-founder of Helm, while Dr. Ziad Ahmed Bahaa El Din, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ALEXBANK, delivered a speech during the opening of the career fair. Through this partnership, ALEXBANK will provide employment opportunities, professional development pathways, and career advancement prospects for people with disabilities, further strengthening an inclusive workplace culture. Helm will support the Bank through its expertise in disability inclusion, advisory services, accessibility best practices, and its technology-enabled platform that connects employers with qualified PwD talents.
This partnership supports the objectives of the national initiative “Qaderoon,” organized under the auspices of Egypt’s First Lady and Her Excellency Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity. It also contributes to national efforts aimed at empowering people with disabilities in the labor market and enhancing their economic inclusion.
In this context, Mr. Paolo Vivona, CEO & Managing Director of ALEXBANK, stated: “At ALEXBANK, we believe inclusive employment is both a social responsibility and a catalyst for sustainable economic growth. We are proud to partner with Helm, whose expertise and commitment have been instrumental in advancing workplace inclusion. Through this collaboration, we aim to foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce. By enabling talented individuals to contribute their skills and potential, we create lasting value for businesses, communities, and the broader economy.”
Ms. Amena ElSaie, Co-Founder and CEO of Helm, said: “At Helm, we believe that inclusion is a shared responsibility between the government, the private sector, and civil society, and that achieving sustainable development requires the integration of the roles of these three stakeholders. Our partnership with ALEXBANK stems from our shared belief that creating opportunities for persons with disabilities is not only a social responsibility, but also a fundamental pillar for building more diverse and sustainable workplaces, and empowering talents to actively contribute to development.”
It is worth mentioning that Khatwa’ 26 career fair, in its sixth edition, is one of Egypt’s leading platforms dedicated to inclusive employment. Organized by Helm, the event connects more than 2,500 job seekers with disabilities with employment opportunities through the participation of 50 leading companies and more than 10 organizations and reaches an impact of more than one million beneficiaries. This year’s edition also witnessed the launch of Egypt’s first National Inclusion Agenda
