CIB Foundation and Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation Celebrate 15 Years of Partnership and Shared Success

CIB Foundation, the bank’s non-profit organization, and Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation celebrate 15 years of strategic partnership. This partnership saved the lives of more than 80,000 children and set a leading example for exceptional cardiac care for underprivileged patients across Egypt.

The ceremony took place at CIB’s Giza head office in the presence of Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub and Dr. Magdy Ishak, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, Mrs. Neveen Sabbour, Chair of the Board of Directors – CIB, Mr. Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, CEO and Executive Board Member of CIB and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CIB Foundation, and Mr. Amr El-Ganainy, Deputy CEO and Executive Board Member of CIB and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CIB Foundation.

This partnership emphasizes the crucial role institutions play in supporting the healthcare sector. Through this strategic relationship, CIB Foundation has allocated funds to equip the facilities with essential medical equipment. Furthermore, the bank has funded hundreds of heart surgeries for underprivileged patients at Aswan Heart Centre and has contributed to the construction of the Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre in Cairo.

He emphasized that their deep belief in collective action as a cornerstone for expanding services and reaching those most in need continues to drive innovation and efforts to raise public health awareness. The significance of this partnership will grow even further with the upcoming opening of The Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre in Cairo, which will enable the foundation to save even more lives.
