For the Seventh Year, Al-Futtaim Real Estate Partners with Misr El Kheir to Support and Empower Indebted Mothers

Al-Futtaim Real Estate in Egypt, the owner and developer of Cairo Festival City and Cairo Festival City Mall, announced the continuation of its strategic partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation for the seventh consecutive year. The initiative, led by Cairo Festival City Mall, aims to support indebted mothers in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and Mother’s Day.

This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and its role in supporting the community, with a focus on empowering women and strengthening Egyptian families.

Aligned with Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s CSR platform, “Festival Cares,” the partnership aims to deliver sustainable social impact by supporting mothers and promoting family reunification during Ramadan, while enabling them to celebrate Mother’s Day with their families. Cairo Festival City Mall continues to serve as a key platform for community engagement and on-ground activation of these initiatives.

As part of its continued commitment to supporting the most vulnerable groups and strengthening its role in social responsibility, the company continued this year its support for the indebted mothers file in cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation, by contributing to Paying off the  debts owed by indebted mothers, thereby helping secure their release, reunite them with their families, and restore stability to many households.

“Continued support for the indebted mothers file for the seventh consecutive year reflects our firm commitment to the role of the private sector in driving tangible social change through the adoption of initiatives that support communities and the groups most in need,” remarked Eng. Ahmed El Halwany, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Real Estate in Egypt. “The partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation comes within this framework, stemming from our keenness to contribute to settling the debts of these mothers, a timely initiative during Mother’s Day and Ramadan, thereby allowing them to return to their families, reintegrate into society, and be granted a new beginning marked by greater stability and dignity.”

“These efforts fall under the ‘Festival Cares’ strategy to strengthen social solidarity. Empowering mothers represents a direct investment in the stability of the family and society. We work in cooperation with our partners to launch sustainable programs that are not limited solely to securing the release of indebted mothers but also extend to raising community awareness and enhancing opportunities for economic empowerment, thereby contributing to reducing the recurrence of this phenomenon and achieving a long-term positive impact in Egyptian society.” He added.

On the level of tangible social impact, the company affirmed the success of this initiative over the past years in supporting more than 155 indebted mothers, within the framework of an ongoing commitment aimed at reuniting families and restoring stability to their lives.

The year 2025 witnessed the implementation of a series of community initiatives organized by Cairo Festival City Mall with the aim of strengthening social solidarity and empowering the community. These included collaboration with several leading institutions, among them the Magdi Yacoub Foundation to support heart patients, Al Reda Wal Nour Foundation during Orphan’s Day activities, and EFB to support the families most in need during the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to cooperation with Misr El Kheir Foundation to contribute to supporting indebted mothers, as well as cultural and community initiatives such as the “Diarna” exhibition and Art Empowers workshops in support of creativity and handicrafts, all within the framework of Al-Futtaim Real Estate’s commitment to creating a sustainable social impact
